Jail Ministry Board Application

Mission –La Crosse Jail Ministry offers inmates spiritual direction, rehabilitative support, and connections to faith communities. Goals – Develop programs within sound correctional philosophies which are spiritually ecumenical in outlook and outreach. Create activities that are personally and communally educational, emotionally rewarding, and effective in meeting the social expectations of the community at large. Board Member Expectations – Board Member Expectations – Provide oversight to the La Crosse Jail Ministry and Chaplain. Support the goal and mission of the ministry, attend and offer input at meetings that are held six times a year, participate on a committee that will meet five to six times a year, support fund raising efforts for the ministry, complete some board work outside of board meetings and assist in the promotion of the ministry.
